Heading WestMy original plan was to go to Kisumu (almost to Uganda border) to visit my roommate Zaddock from last year's visit. He had moved there for a job just before the violence started. Josie, Jasmine and I took a bus to Ngong to meet Virginia on Saturday. Virginia is a Masai women they had already stayed with a few weeks back who is a total kick. We ran a few errands with her in town including watching her friend get braids done. Staying in Ruhegeri during a chuch election means a lot of drums playing all the time. But going out for the gorilla hike makes it unik. Then falling asleep New Years Eve in a African nightclub just ads a little twist to the whole day.
