Nur Hotel Trabzon Reviews
Most comfortable bed in Turkey May 10, 2010
Trabzon isn't much of a nice place to visit. However, whether you wish to visit the nearby Sumela monastery or just try to catch transportation to Georgia or South-Eastern Turkey, chances are you will most likely have to stay overnight in this ugly, seedy port town.
The Hotel Nur is an excellent option. While the hotel has been the most expensive I've stayed in in Turkey (40 TL a night, including breakfast) it has also been the most comfortable. The rooms are clean, modern, equipped with the usual shower, toilet, TV, fridge, internet and air-conditioning. The beds have the thickest and most comfortable mattresses in the whole of Turkey.
For a good night's sleep this place is priceless. Try to get a room at the back though, as otherwise the mosque in front of the hotel will definitely attempt to wake you up for morning prayer.
The hotel works together with a local tour The hotel offers a daily bus trip to the nearby Sumela monastery.
