A decent place to stay! Oct 23, 2009
This hotel is part of the Accor chain which gives a generous airline employee discount.
We were able to get this Novotel for about $60(43 Euro) per night. The hotel was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. I would guess that it had been recently remodeled. The staff were all wonderful too and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to be nice, especially to children. The room was comfortable and warm. The restaurant and bar were excellent too. There were also a couple of nice restaurants nearby. It is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from the Parque de las Avenidas metro station and you could also catch the bus #53 right out front, which goes into Puerta del Sol. The area is safe to walk at all hours of the day and night. The hotel has 240 rooms. I loved this hotel and would be glad to stay here again if I go back to Madrid!
