Novotel Pont De L'arc Hotel Aix-en-Provence - Reviews - Aix-en-Provence

I stayed at the Novotel for approximately one month while in France on Business from August 14th to September 10, 2001. Its not much for creature comforts but more of a stop to get off the highway in South France. It was relatively close to Marseilles and the airport which was convenient for me. I was also able to drive to Nice and Monaco in just a few short hours or less.

The room was a basic European room with 2 twin beds, a small fridge and a TV on a table/desk. Its not like I was going to be in there for anything other than sleeping and showering anyways. Most of the guests at the hotel besides myself were only there for 1 or 2 nights on there way from Spain to Monaco, or whatever wonderful destination lay before them. :-)

I must recommend it for the staff, at least 7 years ago I can attest to their hospitality. I met some really nice people working there and if it was not for my waiter, whom I'm still friends with today, I would not have had half the fun I did in France. He showed me around town and made sure this American went back with a favorable impression of France. :-)
The is a large conference room that if you are lucky, someone will be throwing a wedding in. And if you are really lucky, you will get invited by the Groom himself, as I did, while sitting at the bar having a drink. This was my last night at the hotel and I spent it partying with some locals at their wedding. They will be kicking themselves tomorrow when they flip through the wedding album and ask themselves...

"Who is that _____ American in all our wedding photos"?
