Novotel New York Times Square

Great Staff and rooms have great amazing view of Time Square, cool gym as well nice and cozy rooms.

This hotel would be by far the best i could suggest in NYC, without a budget!

This was the follow on from my one (one was enough) night in the Edison.

This was where i stayed for the next 6 nights, and i loved it!

You come off the street, up in a lift (Elevator) to the Lobby on the 1st floor. Its a great place, there are several check in desks, far enough apart for large groups checking in and the staff are really helpful! Theres a business centre with internet and conference rooms there. On the same level was the hotel bar, drinks and snacks and get this a roof terrace, looking right into Times Square, being a smoker :o( i had to be there quite a bit, in November its pretty cold, but trust me the view helped! After check in, we were taken to our room, it was really bright with huge windows letting in plenty of light and a bathroom the same size again! Power shower, great hair dryer and all the shower gels and shampoos you could want! The room was lovely and there was 3 beds, one for each of us! The first thing i done, after my disaster with the dusty stained beds in the Edison was checks the sheets etc, all to a really high standard, bright white!! We had a safe in the room in a wardrobe that locked for extra security, something i felt the Edison lacked! So from the room it was off to the bar, quick coffee/Appletini - it was well into the afternoon by that stage - for us and then back to the fantastic streets of NY!

The Novotel wasn't somewhere we ate often, other than bar nuts, but did visit the Cosmic Diner 2 mornings(out the door turn left) and Ellens Stardust Diner, for breakfast and dinner. This would certainly be a hotel i would suggest visiting if you're there for a short trip. You cant beat the location and the views. A comfortable bed and good shower means alot after a day of walking, shopping, sight seeing and drinking coffee. The Novotel had both! When we were leaving it was also closing for refrubishment, not that it needed it, so by now it has to be even better...!!

We stayed here for a theatre trip as it is so close to everything in midtown. The room was clean and simple with nice beds. The pillows could use replacement. The bath / shower was large and clean with an upscale apearance.

The service was good. Everyone was helpful. The price was of good value for what you get.

I love New York and would stay here again for another theatre trip, anytime.
