Novotel Hotel Yogyakarta

For sure I would rate this hotel better than Novotel in Surabaya and Medan where I've been before as it's more clean eventhough it has smaller landscape. It's on a good location also it's near with a supermarket if you need some stuffs. The transjogja bus also passes this hotel regularly so you can go exploring the city on a cheap way. The bus also can take you to the airport tho I'd prefer to use the shuttle from the hotel which is inexpensive. Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky as a local guest with a female staff there who only served Caucasian guests or I may say 'Caucasian oriented' as I see the same things on some places here. However I wanna be treated the same as the hotel guest cos there's no different for me for foreigners and local people everywhere. Also I don't think that Novotel can reach high occupancy rate only from foreigners while it's an International chain hotel which has International service standard so I believe that it's not only the performance that's important but also the quality of the staffs (in Medan, I experienced the pretty staff at the hotel who even didn't know where Surabaya is while it's the 2nd biggest city in Indonesia and the other pretty staff offered us a rent car to Lake Toba which was much more expensive than the hotel rent car while she was the staff of the hotel transport but she made her own business inside the hotel on her duty). Anyway it was the past and the manager in charge of the restaurant asked apologize already and promised to develop the better service. Let's see.
