Very Business Like Aug 16, 2009
Quite a distance from the main Casa Voyageurs station, if arriving by train, and definately a taxi ride from there.
Situated down by the port, it is fairly new, and joined onto the Ibis Hotel, that is also part of the Accor chain. Checking in was fairly painless, and they were good enough to give us a 3-Pin adaptor, having left ours in Marrakech (and the other one was broken). Had a room for 4 and there wasn't much space in the room, and the fold out bed jammed and took a bit of kicking to get it back in to fold out again properly. Advertised as a family room, but in reality two double beds( lucky ours are still at an age where they don't mind sharing). No other facilities in the hotel, and when we checked out the internet access later on it was expensive. Decided to eat at the hotel, and that was a mistake. Food was OK, but the service was appauling, with the waiter grumbling as he went off with our order. Sat in the big lobby after the meal for a few beers and it was very obvious that most,if not all, the people staying here were here on business, and it felt very souless. Walking distance to the Hassan II Mosque, and the souk is just up the road, but all in all not a great place to stay. |
