Novotel Ambassador Doksan Seoul Reviews
Has all amenities that every traveller yearns for Dec 15, 2012
This is a hotel that makes good use of space. It offers amenities - modern and otherwise that reflects Korea's culture. Exactly what a weary for yearns after a day's work.
I was upgraded to the suite unit and was given all the privileges that come along with it - such as free access to the well-being amenities. And I was given dinner vouchers. Possibly due to the inconvenience of the renovations going on.
The room is always neat and tidy. Floor finishing makes you feel warm and comfortable despite the harsh winter outside. The room amenities make you feel at home. Everything is there. Most appliances are push button. However, the washing machine is all-Korean. That's a little thing that can be improved.
Food over at breakfast is great. There's a wide array to choose from. So you won't feel wanting for more after the breakfast. And there are disposable cups for coffee, just in case you're in a haste to get to work and you just want to have that sip of hot coffee.
The staff are courteous and smart. They were very helpful. Except for one instance when I had to check out to move to a different hotel. My stay in Korea had to be extended, but the hotel cannot accommodate me as they were fully booked.
After departure, I received an email from the hotel asking for my opinion. I replied back and made some suggestions for improvement. I got a response and they promised to improve on that aspect. Not a lot of hotels will ask for feedback and actually consider what you think about their service. So that was something for me.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. It might be expensive for a four star hotel. But service and amenities make Novotel beat some of the five star hotels I have seen and have been to.
