A culturally rich and tourist friendly city, Novi Sad is located in northern Serbia, and it is the 2nd largest city in the country. With a population of about 300,000, it makes for a perfect "not too big, not too small" city. The main attractions of the city are
"Strand" beach on the Danube Petrovaradin Fortress City Museum And seemingly hundred of bars which are full at any point of the week whether daytime or nightime. Also, Novi Sad is the host to the annual "Exit" music festival, which is a manifastation of many local, as well as WORLD famous bands. It is among the biggest music events in Europe. Usually lasts about 5 days in the month of July. One more beautiful side of Novi Sad is that there are trees at the street, parks are as well a good place to go to rest after a walk, or just to escape in the nature and still stay in the heart of the city. In comparation to the capital, Belgrade it is much more friendlier place, calmer and green.

January 4th - Me and Brian boarded a bus in Belgrade, Serbia and headed off to Novi Sad, which is the capital of the semi-autonomous state of Vojvodina, in Serbia. It is a smaller city (about 300-350 thousand people). We arrived there and called our friend Tammy, who I'd met earlier in the trip, and was supposed to let know if we were going to Novi Sad. She offered to show us around and hang out with her friends at night. Novi Sad had virtually no tourists that I could tell of, and we kind of...

When I got back to the campsite my original intention was to plan but my friends were leaving at 11am so I stayed up and chatted to them until they had to go.I then packed up my tent and everything into my bag and headed down to the beach to chill in the shade. I found Matt, Rhi and a load of other people I'd made friends with that week and sat and chilled and drank more beer with them. Although the festival was over we were still having a good time.I chatted to another few people in that gro...

Whenever I have no idea what will I do with my time, I go to Novi Sad. It’s just a few hours from Belgrade. It is easy-going city. I like to rest my bones on Strand, or just walk trough center of town and have my coffee in some café. That Saturday I was going with my friends by car. It was to hot and we were in rush. Just at entrance to Novi Sad, police was stopped us and we pay for that. What a way to start a journey! Novi Sad is Serbia's second-largest city. It lies on...
