Notting Hill Arts Club London Reviews
Secret London Gem Apr 02, 2011
This club isn't very well known, but its fantastic none the less. Not very many tourists come here as it is a little off the tourist track and mostly people come to Notting Hill to go to Portobello Market during the day.
The place isn't far from the tube station, about 5 minutes walk at a slow pace, but make sure you know how to get home as not very many buses go from here.
Now on to the club. Its TINY! It has two small rooms that are divided by a wall that you can go around in order to get to the other room. In the first room there is a cool round bar and they serve fantastic caipirinhas and mojitos. Little alcoves are in the wall and stools and sofa chairs are situated along one side of the room. In the second room there is a small stage next to a DJ booth.
The club may not be very large, but that's exactly the charm of it. There are different types of music nights every day and you can check the website for the individual line-up. The decor is beige with projectors covering the walls with colourful, indie-esque and arty pictures. The crowd is pretty hipster and random, meaning that some have their heads shaved with polka dot dresses and others are in casual dress. Check out the website's gallery.
