Going to Norwich!
posted by:
Feb 16, 2008 - May 05, 2008
Woke up and had some tea and egg and bacon sandwiches. Just kind of hung around for a bit and then we decided to go for a walk. The walked turned out to be more like a mini hike but it was really nice. Walked through all these trees on a path and what not and we went to the prison! At the prison we also got to see a view over Norwich which was really pretty. On the way back we went by a pond and there were a whole bunch of little frogs everywhere. Warren being the nice guy that he is saved th...

Norwich a city of concerns
posted by:
Feb 01, 2008 - Jul 18, 2008
I live in London, I love the city more and more though being unemployed is rough. Let's just make this a general trendy life stylish blog with a note about as many borough and neighbourhood that I will manage to set foot in. The blog won't follow a chronological order, so I will talk about the boroughs and then had my specific thoughts in between.

I love Norwich

A friend of mine spent her year abroad at the University of East Anglia in Norwich and couldn't stop talking about how much she loved it there. I couldn't imagine it was much different than UKC, so I didn't understand why she had such a great year and I wasn't doing so hot. Then I went to visit some friends in Norwich. It might not be much to look at, but Norwich has a lot of heart. I stayed with my friend Lucy and her boyfriend Pete, who plays in a British punk band. Actually, I stayed w...

We decided to make the drive to Norwich and check out the town.  It was kinda small, I think the word people use is ‘quaint’.  Well this quaint little town has the standard small-town stuff.  A cathedral/castle in the middle of town, nice little restaurants to eat in, and a shopping district.   It was a nice way to spend an afternoon.

9 days to go...

Well, I'm still sat here in Norwich, numb with excitment, apprehension & confusion. 9 days until I get on a jet plane and leave for Hong Kong, leave my friends and family alone for 5 months, and see a completely different part of the world- to be sure I have lived abroad before, but In America, where language and customs aren't too dissimilar to Ye Olde England. But Hong Kong?! I mean, the language is just shapes and patterns, and although I have been reassured that the people out there a...

Norwich Castle
posted by:
Jun 26, 2007 - Sep 26, 2007
I went to Norwich for the day with a couple of my friends.  We made our way to the Norwich Castle since it dominated the area.  Once up close the castle didn’t look all that impressive from the outside.  It was even worse on the inside and the museum was quite boring.  I think we walked through it in 15 minutes.  The only good side is that we only paid one pound each (instead of £4.45) to get in, because; it was the last hour before they closed.   After the...

i've finally managed to escape the oh-so-fascinating world of hedge fund finance, and am now decadently indulging my long-suppressed wanderlust with 15 months on the road and around the world... *note: apart from the odd review (generally of something not found in your standard guide book), this is really more just a map of my travels than a proper blog, but if you want more information on anywhere i`ve been or what i`ve been up to, send me a message and i`ll see if i can rustle something up.

Linda had given her spot on the bus to Jesco and she took the car with Chris and them. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!Anyway I woke up early with Maria and headed to the bus stop. That was around 5am or 5.30am. Jesco just made it to the bust. Our bus went via London to Norwich. So we changed bus at Victoria Station. Got something to eat while waiting and then took the next bus to Norwich. It was different kind of scenery this time. Pretty though. Our travelodge (yes again) was next to the bus station. V...
