I used to live in Moss. Actually I have lived there at 3 different occations and at 4 different locations. The first pics in this series is taken at a place called Kleberget. It's a tiny beach there, which of course no one was using while I shot these pics. To cold in April. These pics were actually some of the first I shot with my new cam back then. It was cool to able to take pics that turned out this nice. :o) The next pics are from a place I lived called Hanan. I rented half of a house a...

What I like about Oslo
posted by:
May 17, 2006
Oslo is the biggest city in Norway. Compared to other capitals and big cities around, it's still not very big though. I think we're about 500 000 people, including suburbian areas. This is a good thing, if you ask me! The distances are small, so getting between A and B doesn't take much time at all. For example, getting from the city center and up into the woods takes like 30 minutes using the subway. In Oslo, you are always close to the beach, the forest, the ski-slope, the shop, whatever....

Oslo in a Dream...
posted by:

Is the name of Norway coming from word "North" or has this direction been shaped because of the location of the country? In most Western europe, when you go North, that means you are going to reach Norway somehow. The only scandinavian country not part of EU. The border to the Arctic Circle.Oslo is a very nice city. Perhaps my favorite in Scandinavia so far. I am not sure why, I felt there like standing at the side of things. Somehow like a haven in our complicated and violent world. The Fjor...

Going back to my roots?
posted by:

I'm a city girl. Defenitively. I went with my family to Graftås, the place my dad grew up, to celebrate my aunt's 50th birthday. I love this place, I used to go here every summer holiday when I was a kid, feeding sheep and scaring cows and...well, I think that was pretty much it. And the cutest grandma in the world lives here, that's a bonus! I sort of grew up on the countryside, both my parents have their families in less urban areas, to put it that way, and I went to see them every schoo...

Well.. You always have alot of impressions after such a "long" trip. Each city is beautifull in each way, but i was surprised about most cities. Here is a short summary:Tallinn: Nice oldtown, many old defencetowers and a very good preserved Town Wall. New Town got quite a god nightlife , so does oldtown, but its more expensive.Did i tell that i was so drunk here that i knocked over a streetsign so i blocked one of the lanes, and then slept in a room with ATMs? Riga: Everybody is talking about ...

Jotunheimen... a place to relax and find peace. :o)

This place belongs to a friend of mine. The very first time she took me up there, I truly fell in love with it. The magnificense of the mountains, the high sky, the peace and quiet and the fact that you feel so small while in there.  It's a place to find peace, reflect on life and just BE! I love hiking in the mountains surrounding the cabin. We usually walks for hours at a time, and it feels refreshing. No stress, no time to watch and no sounds of cars, or other things that's part ...
