It was a beautiful spring day when I walked around Oslo one last time before I left. The day was blessed with enough sunshine to keep me a bit warm because the air was still a bit cold that day. As I can remember, I started from the central station and walked through Karljohan. Stopped by at the Parliament and then at the National Theather. Norway's National Day was coming up (happens on May 17th) so the city was filled with Norwegian flags and I actually didn't realize it at that time...

I'm in Oslo now, if you're just wondering where on earth I am. Don´t care? Fine. I just read a message from someone asking me if I'm already in outerspace. Seriously dude, wtf? Am I that cool now? I admit it was sad leaving Ireland, I had so much fun and my host Nina was really nice, kind-hearted, helpful, fun, and really kind-hearted (well, I know she'll read this....).  Thanks for everything and I really feel bad because the only good thing that I did back to you was to scrub of...

The weather forecast was showed sun with only a few clouds and I just had to go to Mount Hananipa. Mount Hananipa is sitated 714meters above the Sørfjord , which isnt a spectacular fjord, but the views are nonetheless stunning. You can drive upto 350meters and have to walk from there. To the place with the best view its around 30mins walk, but if you want to do the tour of all the adjacent mountains it will take around 6hours, but its surely worth it as some of the views are stunning. Just l...

So, what is there to do in an arctic winter Sunday? For a common local guy the answer probably would be: try to rest a while after a working week or a drinking/partying Saturday’s night! But not for a tough guy from the south, like me :-D Got to get up early for two reasons: 1 – to get breakfast before it ends; 2 – because I booked the dog-sledding for 10am… that’s the best way to maximize your time on a tour, always book something for the early morning ;-) Being at bu...

Although I have to go out of bed at 0545 am I`m looking forward to the day.  I`ll be dressed in my uniform, marching and playing my saxophone most of the day.      In the evening I`ll change to my bunad and celebrate with my friends.  We usually meet over a good dinner, starting with Champagne following up with beer or wine.   Hopefully the sun will bee shining fro...

These factors left deep marks in Vigeland's character) (THE VIGELAND PARK covers an area of 80 acres. The 212 sculptures are all modelled in...
