North Carolina Memorial of the American Civil War Jul 11, 2012
North Carolina like many other states of the union sent soldiers to fight during the American Civil war. At Gettysburg, a monument has been erected in memory of the fallen of North Carolina.

There were 32 regiments from North Carolina at the battle of Gettysburg. American artist Gutzon Borglum was commissioned to work on the monument, and the monument is located on Seminary ridge.

If you go on the tour of the battlefield, you will most certainly stop here and not miss this memorial.
