Affordable, beautiful place to see in the Spring May 09, 2008
It seems every Mothers Day that I am here in the US I go to Norfolk Botanical Gardens. My mothers favorite place other than the beach is the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Each year for one weekend in the Spring there is a specialty plant show where you can purchase all types of perennials, annuals and indigenous trees and plants of VA. This year for mothers day the Rose Garden was in full bloom. We also like sitting on the side of the lake looking at the native birds and the families spending quality time with each other. There is a tram that runs thru the gardens and makes stops along the way. You can ride the tram all day or stop along at the stops and adventure further into the gardens. Absolutely beautiful all year round and is so much fun for children to run around and let their parents rest a bit.
