Noosa Ferry Cruise Company Tewantin Reviews
Amazing scenery and atmosphere Sep 11, 2013
So I decided to take my girlfriend on a day trip up to Noosa. I had a look on the web about what you can do in Noosa and I found this river cruise you could do. It would cost $20 for a day pass and you can go how many times you want.
The ferry goes from Tewantin near Noosa and through the Noosa river down to Hasting Street, 7 stops in total.
We arrived to the marina in Tewantin and had a look around, found the place the ferry docked at and waited. The ferry arrived and we jumped on, no idea what to expect.
The captain of the small ferry was very happy to see everyone lining up. We jumped on and he told us we could jump off wherever we wanted, and just wave at him when we wanna get picked up when he drives past.
We jumped off at a standup paddle boarding rental place at first, rented 2 paddle boards and cruised along the river by ourselves for 2 hours. Was really pretty!
Anyways, we got picked up by the captain again after a few hours and went to the last stop, which was near the Sheraton Hotel. We then jumped off and had lunch. We later on got picked up again, and went back to one of the places along the Noosa River. It was getting a little bit late and we had already had lunch so we decided just to sit down and have coffee. The last ferry departed at 5:30 from the place we were at towards the Sheraton Hotel, so we decided just to jump on the ferry again to see the sunset.
The captain asked us where we had our drinks. We asked "What drinks?". And he said that it was compulsory (sarcastically) to bring drinks when you are on the sunset cruise. So he docked near the closes bottler and we ran over the road and bought a couple of drinks and ran back again. He then drove us to the last stop which was Sheraton Hotel on Hasting Street and then back to Tewantin.
We watched the sunset and it was really beautiful. The river is truly amazing and the 32 degree heat in winter kinda bumps it up a little bit!
This is definitely something I recommend if it is a nice and beautiful day!
