Noorderdierenpark, Emmen

Big and beatifull zoo. Still expending and in the comming years it will probally move

In Emmen you'll find the zoo Noorderdierenpark Emmen. It's a great zoo and a funny detail is that the zoo is spread out over 2 locations. One location is situated in the middle of the citycentre. The other location can be reached by walking over a bridge that's above the city centre. My personal favourite thing inside the zoo is the indoor Tropical Butterfly Garden. There you will find beautiful colourfull plants and flowers and there are butterflies in the air everywhere just flying around the zoo guests. There are a lot of different kinds of butterflies, large ones, small ones, some with very bright colours, it's a very pretty sight. The animals are sorted by the different continents they come from. A normal ticket costs 17 euro's. There also an indoor playarea for children wich you also have to buy tickets for if you like to visit that. You can get a combi ticket for the park and the playarea but you can also buy seperate tickets.

This zoo in the northern part of the Netherlands is welknown for it's space. The animals have enough (in a Zoo it's never enough but this Zoo is relatively OK)to live and walk around.
I find it highly recommendable if ever you are in that part of the country.
