With variety and noodles for all! Aug 19, 2008
I think I've found a new favorite place to eat in the Polaris area. I was in Columbus for a hair appointment when I stumbled upon Noodles and Company. I was by myself and wanted to try something new, so I pulled in. Immediately, I was impressed. Not only was the restaurant spotlessly clean, but the decor and atmosphere were very inviting. The gal behind the counter asked if it was my first time and explained the wide range of selections on their menu.
Basically, everyone you know can eat here. I know it counds like a carb-watchers nightmare, but there are non-noodle selections as well. All menu items (except the chicken noodle soup) start as vegetarian. There are 3 menus: Asian, Mediterranean, and American. Each menu has 4 different dishes, one soup, and one salad selection. For $7.75 I created a trio which allowed me one small bowl (THAT was the SMALL portion!?!?! It was more than I could eat), add a protein (including things like Parmesan crusted chicken breast, braised beef, shrimp, and organic tofu), and choose a soup/salad. It really was a wonderful meal for an excellent price. The Asian selections included Pad Thai and Bangkok Curry. I ate off the Mediterranean menu - I had Penne Posa that was out of this world. Next time, I'm trying the Tuscan Linguine. On the American menu you find Wisconsin Mac & Cheese and Buttered Noodles. (For a full menu, go to Noodles.com) It really was quite incredible. It's not a fancy joint by any means. You order at the cash register and they bring it to you. They have a nicely sized eating area and a very nice patio for those pretty weather days in Columbus. Overall, I've never seen such an affordable lunch-type restaurant with so much variety. Everyone in my family would be able to find at least a few things on the menu for them (and I've got som picky eaters!) The only negative I can say about the restaurant is that there isn't one closer to my house!

We went for breakfast to a place called Charlie's Crabs, because they make an excellent brunch on Sundays. If you are close by on a Sunday do not miss it. Everything I ate was great. After that we said good bye to our friends and started a 5 h…… Ohio State University |
