Nocturnal spectacles of light and color there are them in many sites of the world, this of Xian, have, like almost everything in China, the enormous popular participation, where hundreds of people, refresh in the warm nights of summer to the rate of music and the powerful water spurts of the luminous sources. Much joy.

Espectáculos nocturnos de luz y color los hay en muchos sitios del mundo, este de Xian, tiene, como casi todo en China, la enorme participación popular, donde cientos de personas, se refrescan en las cálidas noches de verano al ritmo de la música y los potentes chorros de agua de las fuentes luminosas. Mucha alegría.

Yes,i nearly missed it and catched only the last few minutes. If you reached Xian in the afternoon, you can plan to catch the night fountain at Big Wild Goose Pagoda & stroll the huge plaza. The fountain starts at 8pm and ends ~8:25pm.

This quite spectacular fountain show takes place near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, up to several times a day. I've been told it starts at 8pm but when I got there it turned out it was delayed by one hour till 9pm. The easiest way to get there is a cab which is pretty inexpensive in China. The ride from centre of the city was something between 10 and 15 RMB. I would definitely recommend the evening show as the square not only gets filled with water but also with many lights. There are many places you can enjoy the show from however if you’re patient get there a bit earlier and find yourself a spot on the terrace situated right in between the pagoda ant the square.
