Noc Noc Reviews

The most Unpretentious Goth Club I know Mar 15, 2008
Noc Noc is perhaps one of the least pretentious and friendliest Goth Clubs I’ve had the pleasure of dancing at. Truth to be told unless there is a special function going on it is hard to call Noc Noc a Goth club at all. But it’s this unpretentiousness that makes me love this club. Guys in flannel shirts and jeans can rock out to old eighties songs and jump around to industrial music and the girls in fishnets and black leather don’t snub them. So if you are a fan of darker music and you are traveling in Seattle and forgot your leather at home don’t be shy about coming in just jeans and a black t-shirt. If however you did remember to wear your spiked leather collar then this is the place to go to get an invitation to the much more exclusive Mercury which has a strict dress code and a rule that new comers can only come in at the invitation of members. Mercury is just down the street and so you will notice that many of the better dressed patrons of Noc Noc disappear after midnight to head over to Mercury. But don’t get me wrong Noc Noc is not just a gateway for Mercury it is a fun club in its own right. If you are going to be in Seattle and want to dance away a Saturday or a Sunday I recommend checking out the website. This place really shines during the various events it hosts and if you are in town to catch one don’t miss it….just don’t show up in a t-shirt on a fetish night. They are fun nights to go and they are worth the investment in some punk/ Goth/ industrial clothing. And besides who doesn’t need a pair of leather pants?
