Address: No.1-15, Area 1, Xian-zu-dao Island Ecological Area, Lhasa, China Comment From Guest: What can I say??? I enjoyed Tibet a lot, but a lot of my memories will be of this place! This does feel more like a homestay than a hostel but I loved it and it was just what I needed at the end of the busy days. This small hostel is located in a quiet suburb an area to the south of the Barkhor. Although The location is a little out the way (It is a 20 minute walk to Barkor) we thought it was a much better place...(see more) to stay as it meant we weren't constantly surrounded with tourists. There is also a bus outside the complex which will take you into town for 1RMB. The place is clean and well maintained. The rooms are all clean and a good size (especially the first room we were in, which was enormous). The toilets and shower room were clean. Zhuzhu, the owner, speaks English and will do her very best to ensure you have an enjoyable stay in Lhasa. If you want to stay in a quieter, comfortable, more local environment, get down to No.15. We enjoyed it so much I started a facebook group for anyone that stays, with recommendation of places to eat and drink etc. in Lhasa... be sure to check it out!. I loved it here so if you are looking for something different then this is the place....strongly recommend. Activities: - Hiking - Tibetan Culture Exchange - Travelers Club Facilities: - 24 hours hot water - free self laundry - Free Internet Access Service: - Bicycle Hire - Hiking Equipment Hire - Tibetan Culture Books In Chinese Arriving by aircraft: 1）Take taxi about 1 hour to Xian-zu-dao. (120RMB) 2）Take airport shuttle bus get off at bus terminal. (25RMB per person), then take a taxi (10RMB) to Xian-zu-dao. Arriving by train: 1) Take taxi only 15 minutes to Xian-zu-dao. (20--30RMB) 2) Take bus No. 87 to Norbulingka-road stop.(1RMB), then across the road and change bus 109(1RMB) get off at Xian-zu-dao stop. We are very centrally located. At the neighborhood entrance keep going 3 minutes to arrive at the guest house. Please phone me on the taxi or on the bus, I will arrange for you to be met at the neighborhood entrance. Transportation to major destinations: Take bus No.109 at the neighborhood entrance to Norbulingka Summer Palace, Tibetan Museum, Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Bharkor Street, Ramoche Temple,Etc NOTICE: We accept the minimum number is two nights. ****You'd better to pay the remaining 90% when you arrival. If you leave earlier then booked, the payment will not be back to you. However, you can make your booking effective in other time.
