A heaven for vegetarians Aug 10, 2009
This little restaurant in a small street in the Old City of Dubrovnik has delicious food made from excellent ingredients. The menu is good and prices are very reasonable. The gazpacho, the miso soup, the Thai curries, veggies and noodles can all be recommended. I specially enjoyed their falafel. Just lovely! The ambience is great and the staff is very friendly and serviceminded.

The restaurant is affiliated with the Smoothie Bar around the corner and you can order smoothies with your meal (AND they have soya milk, rice milk and oat milk!). I can highly recommend Nishta not only for vege lovers but even for meat eaters who want a change from the standard menu.

It‛s a cute little story how the restaurant got its name. Nishta means "nothing" in Croatian. When they opened the restaurant the locals asked the owner what they served. He said "everything except meat", so the locals concluded that they must be serving nothing!
