Ning Manchester Reviews
Nice food, quirky place...would recommend. Apr 10, 2011
I love the Northern Quarter anyway but even more now I have discovered this little gem! I really enjoyed the food here. The service was a little slow however this could be because the food is very fresh - which obviously i would prefer! Delicious food and a lovely little pink and black room, quite quirky.

Ning Aug 20, 2010
Ning is a lovely restaurant in Manchester’s northern quarter, specialising in
Malaysian food. I really recommend it.
I tend to believe that in Britain at least, the bigger the decoration budget,
the smaller the kitchen budget. Ning proves me happily wrong, because it looks
amazing. It is mostly decorated in shades of hot pink and black. There is an
extensive list of Asian beers, including the main reason that we were there.
Iain had really missed Beer Lao since our last adventure, and you can get it in
Ning, along with all sorts of guest beers and some really nice rosewater soft
drink if you aren’t in the mood for alcohol. It was brilliant to discover that
the food was also terrific. The flavours are delicate but the heat is right,
the portion sizes are great, and the service is good. As a nice touch, if you
were doing Ramadan then you got free dates with your meal. The restaurant is
reasonably priced and I would definitely go back some time.
It also offers cookery classes, but I haven’t looked into that.
