Quite an exciting day in the end!
After the Pont du Gard we headed to Nimes, where we stopped off to look at the Roman amphitheatre and a Roman temple. They're both pretty much intact, and the amphitheatre is particularly impressive. You can climb right to the top of the seating, which is pretty h…

This is the closest thing to COuchSurfing I have done so far. Spring of 2007 a group of us spent a couple of months traveling through Provence, France with Rotary International, we would switch homes every few days and met with all of the Rotary Clubs in Provence. It was well worth it. And FOC!

Nimes is another place where my old interest in Romans was re-awakened. It has an even bigger and, in my opinion, more interesting colosseum than Arles, and again it is still being used today. We tried again to climb to the top and this time we persisted because we had sen a group of people sunbath…

Lyon, France -› Grenoble, France -› …
Photos from my travels around southern France, sans personne.
I spent most of my French journey in Lyon. The goal was to perfect my francais and to get to know a european city like the back of my hand. I spent a little over a month here. During the summer, residences in dorms can be quite affordable (something like 500 euros for a month).
Feel free to ask any questions about these places I visited.
