Nikolas Taverna Fira Reviews
Good food but no view Oct 17, 2011
This was recommended by the lady from the reception of the hotel where I stayed in Fira. When I asked her for the direction, she just said "Just ask anyone near the square. Everyone knows where Nikolas is."
The streets are unnamed and it's kind of tricky to get around but it's a small town, so you won't get lost. I finally found the place.
It's a small restaurant, looking typically Greek. It has an old sense of time. Limited choice of food but enough options to try on. I've decided to try Fava and meatballs. I also asked for a hot tea (since it was raining) but they didn't serve any hot drink.
The food portion is generous (or maybe too generous for my Asian stomach). The food was so tasty that I had the urge to finish my meal. LOL.
A nice place to get good Greek food...but don't expect to get that postcard view of the Santorini sea as it's not located by the cliff side.
