Niko Niko Onigiri Puchong Reviews
Niko Niko Onigiri: Unbelivably Affordable Japanese Food With Delivery Service Sep 10, 2013
Konnichiwa! I'm thrilled to come across this rather secluded and tiny Japanese restaurant that provides good quality onigiri (Japanese rice ball) with numerous selection of flavours to choose from. Some of my favourites are furikake (fish flakes with sesame seeds and spices), baby octopus, ebikko (shrimp roe) and tuna mayonaise. Niko Niko also serves handmade Japanese cold noodles. It is especially refreshing to have a plate of cold noodle in a hot and humid climate such as Malaysia.
This restaurant is run by a Malaysian local and best of all it is super affordable. A set meal consisting of two onigiri of your choice, a cup of green tea, some fried chicken katsu, potato salad and a bowl of miso soup with cubed tofu and pieces of wakame (seaweed) cost only RM8.90 which is less than USD3. On the other hand, cold noodle only costs around RM12.90 which is less than USD4.
Although they own only half a shop, delivery service is provided to residents of Puchong area with an additional RM5 delivery charges which is such a convenient alternative for people like myself who sometimes neither want to drive out nor in the mood to cook. There are actually very few options for take-out with delivery service in Malaysia. Only known delivery services provided here are offered by fast food chains like McDonalds and pizza. Niko Niko also accepts pre-orders for parties and events. It is therefore my new favourite hangout spot. Itadakimasu! (^.^)V
