The Steyne Hotel/Bar in Manly. ooooh so nice. and loads of georgous Aussie guys...
there's 3 levels and lots of room and bars. Probably one of the best places to go in Manly. |

There's loads of places - good places would be Ryan's bar on Friday night from 6pm for some drinks then head out to Tank or dragonfly for dancing. I normally go out on Friday nights so I wouldn't know too much about sat nights in the city. The Argle in the rocks is nice for a relaxing drinks environment with mates.. but I don't rate the Hilton Zeta bar very high cause it's expensive and shouldn't be!

Together with them and the night after with some other 'packers, we hit up the best of Sydney's (backpackers) nightlife: Scubar, Sidebar, the World bar (must say I like the one in Queenstown better), Scruffy's, Three Wise Monkey's, every single one of them.
On thursday I met up once again with Chloe, who now studies in Sydney. She lives on campus in Manly… Sydney, episode 4 |

It's called King's Cross and is the nightlife section of Sydney. I guess I should have registered that before I booked the hostel. Anyway the area is filled with bars, nightclubs, stripjoints, and prostitutes, not to mention the legions of cracked-out meth whores that look like zombies the next… Arriving to Sydney |

Their baby Luca seemed to like me, and also the cat was happy with me so I felt really OK being with their family. Spent the last 3 days in downtown Sydney, meeting Muriel (flakey #1 from Mabul), visiting the sights, taking in a bit of nightlife and doing some much needed shopping (love my 'rising sun' japan-spoof skate shoes!).

nightlife is VERY pretentious (in the bad way) but on the other hand people are drunk beyond the acceptable. that's just wrong! every place tries to upscale itself by having 3 bouncers checking guestlists & the usual silly stuff while the crowd inside looks… a weekend in sydney... i'm quite unimpressed |
