There are few pubs and discos in Akureyri.

Sjallinn
the biggest, allowed for about 1000 people at time. 18 years agelimit. open thursday - saturday every week. Dj´s thursdays and fridays but always a band playing saturday-nights.
free thursdays and fridays but 1500-2500 ISK saturdays ( depends on which band is playing )
3 floors,band at the 2nd and dj at the 3rd.
always a lot of fun in Sjallinn... www.sjallinn.is


Kaffi Akureyri
Café during the day but great pub at nights. open every day. dj´s thursday - saturday. 19 years age limit.
the people at the uni hangs there :)
big and cool place. 2 floors, dance on the first and sit and chat on the 2nd.


Café Amour
café during the day like kaffi akureyri, and pub at nights. small and cozy. also 2 floors, dance on the second and sit downstairs :)
18 years agelimit.


Vélsmiðjan
the second largest. very beutyful place, an old factory house. open fridays and saturdays, always a band playing.
21 year age limit.
always a lot of fun, used to be "old-peoples-place" but not anymore. u can find all ages there... from 21 to almost 90 years old haha
( I used to work there as bartender :) )

I have to admitt that I havent been to that place, but I have heard it is good.
