In Merzouga the desert is next to you. You can stay in your hotel, but why not spending it in the desert? You can book a night in the desert. First there is a Camel trip ofd 1,5 hours. Very special, also you can get very tired on such an animal (especially the man discovered that!). After that we enjoyed the local music, loved the meal. Cola and water are available there. The alcohol you must bring by yourself.
Off course the facilities are simple, 3 simple toilets not very clean, cold water. But sleeping under the stars is something you must experience. And get up early for the sunrise.  Part of the Morocco 2009 travel blog
