An evening on a cruise. Dec 26, 2010
The fee is only a few hundred rupees and you hop on to one of the so called Luxury Cruises operated by the Goa government tourism board.

Santa Monica, Santa Maria are the prefer ed cruises for its timing. It leaves the Pier at 6pm and slowly takes you sailing over the smoothly flowing Mandovi river. It sails past the reis Margos church and fort, one side of the Aguada fort and the present Governors Raj Bhavan among other places. As light fades and as you settle down to taste the famous fenny (a local brew or arrack made from fermented cashew or coconut)or settle with the Goan wine or any other drink or cocktail of your choice around the tall stools of the bar you get to be entertained by dancers, performing the traditional correndine dance, the Denki temple dance and other cultural dances during the trip.A hour and a half to two on the cruise is entertaining and you get to feel cheerful,at home and ready to dine in one of the many food courts....I would suggest the Martin's corner for good sea food, yes may be a lobster.
