Nick & Sam's Steakhouse Dallas Reviews
Jan 31, 2008
There are lots of great steakhouses in Dallas and everyone has their favorite. This one is mine.
Atmosphere: 5 Stars : The dining room is dark, but not so dark you can't read the menu. Intimate even when crouded. Piano player in the dining room. There is a separate cigar bar area, so not a hint of the smell is in the dining room. (A common issue in Dallas steakhouses.)
Service: 5 stars : The best service experience I've ever had. A flawless front waitor and a number of back waitors. They seemed to read my mind and showed up when I needed something. Very attentive but almost invisible.
Food: 5 stars : Stick with what they do best, prime beef. They know what rare, medium rare, etc means, so order exactly how you want it. (I hate playing the "I really want med-rare, but should I order medium to ensure its not bloody" game.) The forearm sized lobster tail is increadible as well, but you better rob a bank before you arrive if you want to order it.
Wine: 5 stars : Great wine list. Best by the glass wine list in a Dallas steakhouse. Expensive, but vast.
Price: 5 dollar signs : This is a special occasion place unless you have limitless resources. If you want to experience it but don't have at least $75 a head to spend, try the cigar bar and have a glass of wine. (Bring your own cigar, as they are pricey on site as well.)
