Vacationed in Acapulco, Mexico May 2007. We had a nice time, however there were military police everywhere with machine guns and they recommend that you refrain from walking the streets alone even to shop. We did and had no problems. The hotel where we stayed was average and would not recommend it, even forgot the name. The Dive show was fantastic and the Shot Over Jet ride was awesome, shopping was limited and water was okay, not as pretty as other places we have been. We rented a Jet Ski on the beach at our hotel and the water was a little rough to really enjoy the ride. Would not return to Acapulco, been there done that.
