Hiking or fishing Jun 14, 2011
This is one of those spots that can be hard to get to,depending on time of year. It is well worth the hike though. The Glen is located on the Niagara Parkway as you head towards Queenston on the opposite side of the Butterfly Observatory. You will need to be in shape for the trek down the escarpment to the river>\. There will be stairs at the start of your journey but it soon turns into a rough trail that will lead you down to the whirlpool and rapids there are smaller trails that lead to different spots on the river. Once to the rivers edge you will be greeted by some of the most strong river currents you are likely to ever see, truly amazing spot to fish or take photos. In the winter falling rock and trees can be a problem but summer should be fine....have a look you won,t be disappointed ..

Niagara Glen Nature Reserve Sep 09, 2011
After White Water Walk and Whirlpool Aerocar, we felt like to walk more and get closer to the river. Niagara Glen Nature Reserve is the place to go. It locates on the north, before Niagara Park Botanical Garden. There is a map showing the trails. It might not be an easy walk, but worthy definitely if you like hiking in nature. Bring some snacks. You could sit by the river and enjoy the scenery.
