Ngorongoro Farm House Reviews
Amazing place to stay!! Sep 02, 2013
The lodge is set on a beautiful plantation and each of the rooms is in a private cottage. Our cottage has 3 single beds with canopied mosquito netting. There is a nice size balcony. A lovely double sink, toilet room and shower room. The decor and ambience are quite lovely, lots of character. There is no in-room heating however we didn't find the room too cold, only a bit cool at night. The shower is fantastic, lots of water pressure and lots of hot water.
The grounds are beautifully manicured. There is a small swimming pool. Internet is available at the main area on their computers for $5 for 30 mins.i tried one day to use it, but it had been down all day. Paid laundry service is also available.
Breakfast consisted of made to order omelettes/eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal, juice, veggies, toast/breads. The coffee is locally grown , hand ground, and made by hand on the farmhouse as are several of the veggies. We had a box lunch which you choose yourself what you want packed. Supper has a variety of salads, soup, and a choice between 2 main entrees. There is also a selection of desserts. At 6pm they serve snacks and drinks on the communal balcony with amazing views.
The farmhouse is located about 1-1.5 hrs from the entrance to ngorongoro crater.
I would definitely recommend this place. The ambience is fantastic and the service was very good!
