Newport Beach is a wonderful city which has magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean, beautiful beaches, lots of great places to shop and great restaurants.

The harbor offers many activities on water, from kayaking, jet skiing, even renting your own party boat.

A popular surf hangout is located here in Newport Beach. It's called "The Wedge". Around September, there is a lot of commotion at the wedge. There is a day which brings in 30 plus feet waves and all the serious surfers come to battle it out. It's awesome, like something you see in Hawaii!

Newport Beach is mid-upper class. Especially near the beach and harbor. Fashion Island, shopping center, is known for it's upper class selection of shops and restaurants. Very beautifully maintained, much like the rest of this city.

7/27/2007Well we are back and adjusting to life in America again, enjoying the benefits of being able to have ice cubes anytime we want, drink red wine, eat fattening cheese, sleep in our own bed on a pillow that doesn’t feel like an overstuffed sausage, eat a steak (yes Murli, we are thinking of you!) , etc.  Jet lag hit fairly hard for a few days but we are back on American time now and wondering what to do next.  Two days after we got back, we went out to dinner for my birthday...

It is Easter Sunday, and I have officially gorged myself with so much food that I feel like I can just roll myself around town... ughh. It all tasted so good going down but I have a serious stomach ache. Oh, well... I leave my parents, brother and cousins at the Disneyland Hotel and head back to Newport Beach. It is still pretty early considering we have been there since 10:30 am; so, as I head back home, I decide I absolutely have to drive down to my spot and hang out, enjoy the beautiful we...

Cruising Around Newport Bay
posted by:
Jun 06, 2008 - Jun 08, 2008
After our crazy antics playing games, we all split up to caravan up to Newport Beach for a sunset pleasure cruise.  Mel, Sebastian, and I parked near the pier and Peninsula Park.  We had no idea where the others were and Mel was becoming a little heated.  We started to wander around the area looking for everyone else when lo and behold who did we run into...Charles.  We followed Charles because he was getting directions from Angel.  We crossed the main drag...Balboa B...
