After leaving the Shannon Airport and tackling our very first roundabout(which we got all wrong!), we arrived in Newmarket-on-Fergus, a tiny town 8 miles north of the airport. We checked into our B&B, went in search of snacks and had our first encounter with a drunk Irishman! He was adorable and funny! And he insisted on guessing where we were from, which took at least a half and hour as he insisted we didn't give him clues. What an introduction to a beautiful and charming country!
