The next day we slept in. (We are lazy on vacation) then we got up and made our way to Central Park. I made the niece go to The Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art. (she was going to get some culture on this trip) but she wasn't thrilled so I checked out my favorite Monet's and then we played in the …

So it was a wonderful week of june and I noticed that the weather on Saturday was promising to be BEAUTIFUL. My dear grandmother has live in NY for almost 20 years and have NEVER been to the Statue of Liberty so....I told her "Mama, wake up early on Saturday and put your walking shoes on because I will take you out" she was completely clueless but she was very happy to see what I wanted to surprise her with and we had an awesome time! hope you guys enjoy the pictures of our beautiful day! =D

So I am sitting here in the airport surrounded by absolutely no one. It is completely quiet except for Reo Speedwagon and a cleaning person jammin out to the power ballad. The last time I went anywhere it was LA. That was about 4 years ago before moving from NC to NY. Securi…

When we first arrived the weather was pretty horrible, with rain and low cloud cover for most of the time we were there. Our first impression was "Wow", we both felt almost a little weird in New York. I suppose we felt kind of dwarfed by the size of the buildings and the roads, no wonder New Yorker…

Headed to the east coast to receive the Jordanian desert wind at the Big Apple. This would be my first trip east of Salt Lake City...my first proper visit to the east coast.
We scoped the local cupcake & donut bakeries, the birthplace of New York pizza, scoured the subways of Brooklyn & the ghostly whispers of Coney Island, laughed at the HaHa holes of Time Square and ran circles around the squirrels of Grand Central Park ^^ (photos curtesy BM)

Finally, October 12 was here. After putting in a full days' work at the office (remind never to do that again), I got in my cab and off to the airport we went. I had to catch a 9:00 pm flight out of JFK to Madrid and then from there another flight to Tangier.

From april the 23rd till may the 2nd, we (my brother, a mutual friend and myself) were going to New York City, seeing the sights, enjoying the views, exploring the streets and do some shopping in the "City That Never Sleeps".
We arrived around 4:30 pm at Newark Airport. We took a taxi to our hotel…

The day was finally here, the day I was leaving for Turkey and what happened, I woke up with a massive headache, ugh. Could it have been the beers and drinks I had the night before and the lack of a good night's sleep? Maybe. (kind of would become a common theme in my tri…

Close to Central Park in New York, is Strawberry Fields, the place were John Lennon was murdered in 1980. The word "Imagine" is a reminder of his useless murder and makes you wonder what if........

NYC reached into my chest and moved me through every street, around every corner, through every restaurant, during every show, to every site, and along every ride. I instantly fell in love and now long to return. The city holds an energy that is unparalleled in my travels. In my opinion, if you …

I checked my watch nervously, as my travel
companion frantically tried to pick up a cell signal so we could call
and alert Vincent to our delayed arrival. After difficulty in
navigating Paris' complex transportation system, we just missed our
southern-bound train and didn't want our host to sit…

I'm not a traditionally religious person; New Year's Eve is my holy day. It's a grand finale and a fresh start, rolled into one big, fat party. At my job, I worked Christmas Eve instead of New Year's Eve, insisting that NYE was more spiritual for me. With my brother in town and tickets for the firs…
