So I am sitting here in the airport surrounded by absolutely no one.  It is completely quiet except for Reo Speedwagon and a cleaning person jammin out to the power ballad.  The last time I went anywhere it was LA.  That was about 4 years ago before moving from NC to NY.  Securi…

When we first arrived the weather was pretty horrible, with rain and low cloud cover for most of the time we were there. Our first impression was "Wow", we both felt almost a little weird in New York. I suppose we felt kind of dwarfed by the size of the buildings and the roads, no wonder New Yorker…

Headed to the east coast to receive the Jordanian desert wind at the Big Apple. This would be my first trip east of Salt Lake City...my first proper visit to the east coast. We scoped the local cupcake & donut bakeries, the birthplace of New York pizza, scoured the subways of Brooklyn & the ghostly whispers of Coney Island, laughed at the HaHa holes of Time Square and ran circles around the squirrels of Grand Central Park ^^ (photos curtesy BM)

The day was finally here, the day I was leaving for Turkey and what happened, I woke up with a massive headache, ugh.  Could it have been the beers and drinks I had the night before and the lack of a good night's sleep? Maybe.  (kind of would become a common theme in my tri…

At my job, I worked Christmas Eve instead of New Year's Eve, insisting that NYE was more spiritual for me. With my brother in town and tickets for the firs…
