I spent just over three weeks in the Big Apple. It was my first big adventure which has made me want to pack up my bags and take off again, possibly for much much longer next time!

This isn't really a travel blog, but I want to encourage everyone to invite more people to join TravBuddy. We're just over 100,000 members away from 1 million! So let's help Eric and David (the founders) get TravBuddy.com to that goal.

As you all know, hotels in NY can be quite expensive. Many are run-down, don't have proper a/c, and many don't even have elevators. To our surprise, we found a turn-of the century hotel on 77th & Broadway that proved to be a real bargin. It's called the Hotel Belleclaire. It's only two stops away from Time Square and reasonably priced. But, you need to book way in advance. We don't recommend going to "cheap" route when lodging in NY. All the cheap stuff is just that, "cheap, dirty, …

Wow, I never finished this blog.  It amazes me that I've gotten over 10,000 views on this thing!  As in my previous blogs, because this is a travel blog, I did leave out some parts of the trip.  But I think it was a fair representation of my travels and I hope that I was able to provide some good travel information!I had such a wonderful opportunity to travel for a month and I'm glad I did it.   I definitely learned a lot -- about all the amazing places I visited, about pe…

Having been to New York so many times before, the focus this time was to get some shopping done and enjoy New York's nightlife! The previous times myself and Jill had been there, I was under 21 so this time we got to relax with a few drinks as we wished! We stayed in the Best Western Presidential, and although the first time I stayed there it was quite good, the lack of air conditioning the second time made the room uncomfortable. The previous year we had stayed in The Alex, which was far mor…

My wife and I decided to spend a long weekend in NY, because it has been a long time since we visited the city.  We love the museums and planned on visiting a few of them in this trip.  The arrival was a little bit delayed because American Airlines canceled my original fligth and had me take one 5 hours latter.  Once the plane arrived to JFK, there was no gate for it and had to wait for one to clear up.  the end result is that instead of arriving in the early afternoo…

Christmas in NYC 2007: New York Travel Photos

My best friend Beth and I decided to embark on an adventure in NYC for Christmas this year. Indeed, it became an adventure when we lost our map and list of addresses for the places we wanted to see, along with the number of our tour guide in case we got lost. Despite the fact that we were novices when it came to navigating our way around NYC, I think we did a pretty good job(with the help of a few friendly NYC police officers)
