Dinner and Drinks with an unbeatable view. Mar 30, 2013
After a long day touring in Tokyo we decided to take a final view of the city by visiting the Park Hotel Hyatt which is featured in the movie "Lost in Translation" (2003) The New York Grill. On the 52nd floor it overlooks Shinjuku district and from dusk to dark the view changes to a beautiful layout of lights. If your lucky and on a clear day you can see Mt Fuji.

You don't need to be a guest of the hotel to eat there. You take the lobby lifts up to the 41st floor and a little walk to the another set of lifts through a library (of all things) to the 52nd floor.

The price of the drinks are higher then most places in Tokyo, but comparative to my home in Australia, completely reasonable. From beer, spirits, wine and cocktails from ¥1000-¥10000. Also, the dinner set is also reasonable and great food considering where your sitting. All out, we had pizza, chips (fries) 1 cocktail and 2 beers for ¥9600.

I'm not trying to under estimate the cost. However, if you go to the Tokyo Sky tree you will pay ¥4000 for admission. Its a treat and it won't disappoint.
