New World Hotel Manila Reviews
New World Renaissance Hotel Manila Nov 11, 2008
I pretty much lived in this hotel for the summer of 2005.
Flying in from Australia and out to other parts of the philippines and then back and forth, New World ended up being base camp for my trip. Out of my 2m holiday in the philippines i probably spent 3-4 weeks here. The rooms were very clean. Service was extremely reliable. Room service and Ice delivery cam quickly and efficently. I was travelling with family (mother/2brothers/sister in law and niece). Staff were extremely helpful when we realised my brother cheaped out and didnt book up 3 rooms, so they brought us a spare cot for myself at a reasonable cost. I didnt pay so i guess you cant complain about the cost. Daily buffet breakfast was good. I loved the chef who made whatever omlette you wanted. The service in the restaurant was average though and they desparately need to get new uniforms for the staff. All in all i had a great time and higly reccomend staying at New World Renaissance |

Central Hotel in Makati Nov 03, 2008
New World Renaissance Hotel is for me, the second best centrally-located hotel in Makati area (after Shangri-la). Strategically-located in Makati Avenue, Greenbelt(shopping arcade) is just across the street from the hotel driveway. Both Greenbelt and Glorietta are shopping haven known for posh high fashion brands to high street ones, numerous restaurants and many different specialty shops that sells practically everything you can ever imagine. Aside from cinema houses, it has bars & lounges (with live bands), hair salons and cafes. Right in the middle you'll be surprised to see a round-shaped chapel and a lush green park.
Back to hotel review: I must say the lobby is not that impressive; the hallways leading to rooms are however spacious; the room is large enough and the amenities are of standard and the service always comes with a smile, typically warm, the Filipino way. The pool area is nicely maximised, wonderfully lit at night, right in the middle of the shimmering lights of Makati skyline. We have only tried room service but never get to dine to any restaurants in the hotel. There are lots of dining choices out in Greenbelt, just a couple of steps away. |
