New Siam 3 Bangkok Reviews
Backpacker location, but flashpacker Hotel Dec 15, 2012
New Siam 3-Bangkok- 850BHT per night=Double room, Ensuite, breakfast not inc. but plenty of great places to eat within steps of the front door. Breakfast not inc. Location, excellent right in the heart of Banglanpoo, a stones throw from Khao San Road. More ideally placed for the Royal Palace, other sites are a bit further away and fiddly to get to if you’re not familiar with Bangkok.
We had an easy check in and whilst there is no lift up to the fourth floor (where our room was) there is a lazy butler for luggage, so if you feel unable to climb 6 flights of stairs they will send your luggage up for you. Our room came with aircon and fan, and was a good size with a fridge as well. Ensuite bathroom was room and clean with separate shower and western WC + sink. We also had towels. Bed was very comfy. Fresh water was in our room on arrival and offered daily.
The morning after our first night we notice that our floor appeared to be flooding, it was in fact the air con unit that had developed a fault overnight. We went downstairs to let the reception and know, and immediately the staff returned with us and a clutch of towels and promised us that it would be repaired as soon as convenient to us. We said we would be going out in an hour, and she reassured us that the unit would be repaired by the time we got back, and it was! Service excellent! Even photocopying passports (one copy each) without charge. The staff were pleasant and courteous at all times, passable English is spoken by most of the staff and they do accept mail delivery, we arranged to have my new drivers licence delivered via DHL from family in England. This arrived on time (thank you DHL) and they were super in making sure we got that on arrival. We liked New Siam 3 so much we have booked to stay there again when we return to Bangkok on 13th of Jan to meet my Daughter Jacqui. Perhaps I will update this after that as we are booking a family room.
