Carnival Glory docked in Nassau around 8:00 a.m. It had been a short overnight sail from Port Canaveral. But, port time would be limited as we had a much longer voyage ahead to reach St. Thomas two days hence. We disembarked and walked over to Festival Place, the customs and welcome center. We docked on a cloudy morning, but we were able to take some pictures of the scenery from the boat. Our first adventure called for a short boat ride to a little island known as Blackbeard's Cay. There we were to spend the morning relaxing on the beach. However, the boat ride took 1/2 hour each way, so what was supposed to be a 3 hour excursion ended up being an hour of traveling and 2 hours on the beach.
