Arrived in Newark, NJ. I gotta say I love hotwire.com. You get rooms at really cheap rates and they are always really nice. I've used them 3 times now and I have always been impressed. Use them and you will be too. Anyway, we got to Newark at around 10pm. The trip was supposed to be 12 hours...we left at 6:30am from IL so technically we left at 7:30am EST. 7:30am to 10pm. 14.5 hours? Not bad. We stopped and ate twice and both times it was like we were dealing with people who didn't realize th...

Paul, Mirjam, Gerard and I fly and stay in Iceland for 3 days before visiting New York City. From quiet to hectic: a big contrast.

I get Becky and we head out. We drive until we're hungry which ends up being 10 PMish....which we realized we are not in Pittsburgh anymore. We get up to see what's open and well, in Bloomsburg, PA off of I-80 there is almost nothing. We saw a KFC and looked to see when they closed....Darn...the doors are being locked...let's go through the drive through to see if they'll respond. We drive up, wait for a second and as we're about to pull away we hear...welcome to KFC, ...

Two days after returning from the Bahamas, I hopped on a plane with my friend from college and headed down to Naples, FL. Her family has a house there and it was nice to finally unwind a little! ** work in progress **

Woke up at 5am, had a shower and had left Ian’s by 5.40. It
was sooo foggy over the Pennines; eerily it cleared up instantly as we reached
the other side of the Pennines to reveal a beautiful morning in Manchester. The roads
were clear and we reached terminal 3 without a hitch.
Problems began when I stepped foot inside Terminal 3. I was
flying out with American Airlines, during the checking in process I was grilled
by a US Marshall type person woman/thing. I’d managed
to forg...

Took my wife and daughter to the beach in NJ. In the evening, they were both tired so I left them at the hotel and set out with my "second wife" (the six string one). Wandered around a town with a definite hispanic vibe. Arrived at the park and found a big Puerto Rican festival underway with food and live music. Couldn't find a good spot for my video clip--but I did enjoy the Carribean ambience. The fried plantains and rice dishes looked really good... Brough...
