My sister and her family came to visit me in North Carolina, so we headed for the outer banks to find pirates, mermaids and sharks! It was a fun trip- Beautiful beaches and interesting places like British Cemetery on Ocracoke (I never knew the Germans came so close to the States). We saw Dolphins, Pelicans, light houses, and giant sand dunes, and I managed to crash a Hang Glider :). All in all a good trip!

So here i am in new bern, nc. It is so boring here for a single gal. i am sure this towm is great for couples and people with kids but as a single person there is nothing to do here. The houses here are so beautiful and the design is so classic old south. And speaking of old South.... the people here are not very friendly. I keep wondering where that southern charm is???
