BIRD'S EYE VIEW - New Asia Bar Oct 09, 2013
Level 71, Equinox Complex, Swissotel The Stamford, above the city skyline, wonderful sight of Singapore's skyscrapers.

Wonderful! Great friendly service and reasonable prices considering where you are.

Go early and the bar opens up to the top floor helipad, where strong gusts of wind may ruin your 'do, but the 360-degree panoramic view of the bright lights around Singapore make the drinks worth the price. On clear nights you might even see as far as Indonesia.

Let's have a drink high up at the 71st floor! Dec 27, 2011
As my title suggest, I came here to have drinks high up with a sky view. Pretty cool to just come and chill while enjoying the beautiful city skyline.

It used to be the highest bar in Singapore before 1 Altitude came along. But then again it is the highest "enclosed bar" since Altitude is open air concept.

Entrance is through Swisshotel lobby. There will be a special lift to bring you to the bar & the restaurant.

Requirements for dressing is the same as the restaurant - no T-shirt/ shorts/ slippers.

The crowd here is usually working class adults. There used to be a lot of yuppies hanging here. There is a cover charge which entitles you to 1 drink. Sorry I dont know how much is the cover charge since I did not pay for it. A glass of champagne will cost about $25 - steep yes? And you can never drink just a glass of champagne, well at least I cant.

To get a window seat/ a table facing the window can be quite difficult sometimes as everyone wants a table with the view. There is a small dance floor and there is a DJ to spin the beats but I find that the music choice has sort of deteriorated over the years.

The bar does shoot laser lights into the skyline at nite which is quite nice. I think theres an arrangement that all bars situated at high levels does this cause you can also see Ku Deta (Marina Bay Sands) and 1 Altitude shooting laser lights into the sky.

So what are you waiting for, bring your camera & make a toast!

71 & 72 Floor, Swissôtel The Stamford. Great View of the city in a martini bar atmosphere. Not the cheapest place in town as drinks run $10-$12US, but well worth the view.

To all readers:

Though the location is awesome and food/drinks are worth it because of the view, i am very disappointed regarding the services of the staff of New Asia Bar. The waiter clears your glasses even its not empty especially during evening dance party. They have the most rude cashier i've ever encountered who don't know how to deal with the guests. They have a war freak securities who don't know the right way of solving conflicts. And most of all a manager who is very arrogant who don't know how to handle such incidents like complaining customer, he don't know how to listen to the guests and don't know how to solve the conflicts between his satff and the guest who complains regarding the services of the cashier and the waiter in a right manner. For that incidents i will never ever recommend this bar to our visitors from other countries because they don't make actions to the customers complain about the bad services they have.
They make a bad impression about bad services and even humiliate guests in front of other people.

from a concern citizen of Singapore.

If you go there for happy hour (till 8pm on weekdays) the drinks are 2 for 1! Also, they sometimes have this crazy happy hour on saturday from 12-1 or 1-2am.
