So many good memories involving New Asia Bar at the top floor of Swissôtel Stamford, Singapore's tallest hotel building, so I'm prone to sharing my review in bullet points:

* Near 360° views of Singapore business district, downtown and fringes, as well as the Singapore River and the Marina Bay, photo-perfect especially on a clear day/night.

* Half price on drinks 3-9 (or 3-8?) pm all week, easily the best frozen strawberry margarita anywhere in Asia. Don't miss their mojitos either! I think another one-for-one at 12 midnight or 1 am? Don't look at me that way--we're talking about drinks. Who can remember?

* Great place to chat early evenings and grab light bites--pizzas very good but not extraordinary, pricey sushi platter a must-try. Crowd ranges from business types (all ages) to visitors (mostly from Europe) so don't forget to come in smart casuals (no jeans or sneakers). Not even model-type Lars in Armani tanks can get away with it!

* After your aperitifs and chatting and munching the mood changes from relaxed and chilled to sexy and groovy -- dancing begins 11-ish. Jasmin and I swept away several glasses of drinks in one single swoop of salsa once before; Bruce, bless his soul, had to drag me out of the place and away from trouble's way.

Sure thing Vance, pretty close to the ones I had in Monterrey (Mexico)... for twice the price, of course. =;-p

71 & 72 Floor, Swissôtel The Stamford. Great View of the city in a martini bar atmosphere. Not the cheapest place in town as drinks run $10-$12US, but well worth the view.

If you go there for happy hour (till 8pm on weekdays) the drinks are 2 for 1! Also, they sometimes have this crazy happy hour on saturday from 12-1 or 1-2am.
