Not grand but not bad Aug 15, 2008
The location is fantastic. You are only a short walk to St. Issacs, Church on Spilled Blood, Souvenir Market so, you are in the middle of everything.
The hotel is nothing special on the outside...random building. The interior is an attempt at upscale gone wrong. The reception can barely speak English but, tried to be helpful. The room was SMALL but, it was only to sleep in. It was clean but there were things in need of repair and not all lights were working. The bath was small an passably clean....sort of. The sink does have a sticker on it that basicly states DO NOT DRINK THE WATER! Good to know. The bed was thin and flat but, not sunken....trying to stay positive. St. Petersburg is expensive, but this is on the lower end of that expensive scale It is worth the price, given the pricing for other hotels in the area.
