The Stratosphere Tower at the hotel of the same name on "the Strip" is the largest self standing structure in the United States and the 9th largest tower in the world. It looks huge from the street and when travelling around Las Vegas. It is only when you are up it you realise quite how HUGE it is.…

Wow...what a big shiny beacon of SIN! Coming down in the plane all you had to do was peek out the window and see the luxor glowing brightly in the night outshining the strip itself. All the glimmering and gawdy made my head spin. When we finally got situated in the hotel (excalibur) we wore our lit…

I` d agreed to go hiking through red rock canyon with Melanie and RJ. Taking into my account my genetic lazyness and the 100F Vegas heat, i`d obviosuly not been sober when signing up to this foohardy idea. After being assured by RJ that there were no mountain lions in the canyon an…

Reno – the Biggest Little City in the World.
After our stop in Lake Tahoe, Erin took me to Reno. It's just a short drive from Tahoe, and since the weather seem to hold up, it was all good. It wasn't dark yet when we got into town, so we couldn't see the lights yet.
We parked at the C…

Our last day to see Vegas and we wanted to see as much as possible - so another early morning. We decided to walk from 1 end of the strip - to treasure island - about the middle of the strip which is around 3 miles. This took us the full day but was well worth it! I had planned to celebrate my 30th in Vegas for ages but realised that I couldn't wait that long so I went a year early.

We started out just wanting to see some snow and ended up getting a great couple of days. The day we went to the mountains it snowed 8 inches in the Vegas Valley, Im not sure how much on the mountain, but it snowed ALL day. It wasnt really a far drive to the snow, but it was definitely a great get away. It was the most snow Ive ever seen up close.
