Due to snow fall we made it as far as Grosskarolinenfeld (which is about 10 miles out). They made us get out of the train and switch into a different one in the middle of nowhere. Then in Munich all the Arrival/Departure signs were broken. Finally found the right platform and got on the next train headed for Darmstadt where we were going t...

a difficult name... why did I visit it? well, the year before this travel I met dutch people in the Inca Trail and we became friends. I told them that I was planning visit Europe and they invited me to their place. I felt excited about the idea of going to Holland, but also a bit sad. Why? Because it would be the last country to visit before going back home…
My friends live in S’ Hertogenbosch. I should say it was the first time I heard about that town, ;) They were on vacations, s...

one night i went out to drink something, and this homeless guy came by me to ask for a cigarette while i'm smoking, and i said 'sorry,it's my last one',then he followed me insisting on a cigarette as well as yelling in dutch:),finally i gave my cigarette between my fingers, suddenly his attitude totally changed to really nice one and he was like 'no i can't take it':),he must be a good smoker because it's the universal rule not to take the last cigarette of smoker:)

A walk around the historic Gouda city center will surprise you, it will take you along many ancient monuments quaint canals and picturesque secluded courts alleys and streets.
I did the city walk and enjoyed it!
Gouda is a pretty little place some 25 kilometres of Rotterdam.
When you take the train from Rotterdam, it brings you in about 20 minutes to Gouda.
The town is definitely worth a visit.
It has a lot of charm and a lot of old buildings and about 300 monuments.
Gouda...

Today I woke up feeling very uncool. I only had 2 beer the night before but that space cake just really took it out of me I guess. All it did was make me really sleepy but the next morning I woke up feeling like I got hit by a truck!! I had the biggest headache and just felt sick all over. Once I had a shower though I started to feel better. Our first order of business today (after food ofcourse hehe) was to go to the train station and book our over night tickets from Cologne to Krakow. We ha...

So, things have finally set into motion and I can leave Amsterdam! I am on my way! Yay!
I am headed for Munich-Germany, Budapest-Hungary, Belgrade-Serbia, then Athens. I will be on the road for the next couple of days and unable to access a computer. BUT I should have one in Serbia, so look for updates on July 3 or so. Forgive me, also, because I am going to go backwards on my blog and add a couple more entries on Amsterdam and probably on Munich and Budapest.&n...

Soooo... after a decent first day and night in the Dam, it was time to gear ourselves up for what we had really to town for... DJ'ing at The Twisted Cafe.... and boy were we excited! After a semi lazy style lie in... Nick and myself rose to some guy bringing us breakfast in bed. I must admit, I didn't expect this and I wasn't that hungry, but was pleased for the wake up call because it was yet another glorious day outside and I wanted to be out there in the thick of it all again. Ni...

The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is the hilly countryside! The Municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug was established in 2006 through the merger of a few small villages. I've moved from Maarsbergen to Maarn 2 years ago. Maarn is one of the Netherlands last fully intact garden villages. I wish i was living in one of the little garden houses in Tuindorp, all rental but there's a very long waitinglist! Its a healty area with lots of forests, farms and castles so its perfect for hiking and biking.
