This is the story of my attempt to learn Spanish during a 15 week stay in Granada and Salamanca (Spain) during 2008.

I was very happy to escape the dark cold German weather and spend Christmas with a friend in Málaga. We also went to Nerja, which was pretty but full of tourists who didn't seem to find it necessary to attempt the language. Next was Cádiz where I walked around the entire perimeter taking pictures and getting my fill of the ocean. Then I drove up to Prado del Rey, a small town in the Sierra de Cádiz, and then back to Málaga - I absolutely love the drive through the interior!

Here, I was in Spain again! What can I say? Spain has so much to offer! This time, I was part of a group with an ittinary including Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Sevilla and Costa del Sol. What a great trip!

I needed to attend a friend's wedding in England so I decided to make a vacation out of it and visit some places I have never been!

I went to Spain by myself to practice my Spanish and do some exploring. Granada most of the time, but also Barcelona and Menorca, Sevilla, and Almunecar.
