Neon Museum and Boneyard - Preserving Las Vegas Neon Signs Jan 19, 2012
Ever wonder what happens to the old Vegas neon signs that have attracted visitors through the years? Well, now you can see. If you have lived in Vegas your whole life or have any history you will appreciate the nostalgia. I saw some signs there that I hadn't seen for more than 20 years. Ones from places I had visited as a kid, like the Showboat and Alpine Village. Long time memories that are preserved with their fellow neon tubes from a time missed but never forgotten.

Cost: $15 - book online

The museum was established in 1996 as a non-profit so the guided tours are going to the upkeep of the preservation. Whether the signs were donated or rescued, they can find a happy resting place in the boneyard rather than a scrap metal dump site.

Daily tours are Tuesday to Saturday - booked in advance with tour times at either 12pm or 2pm lasting an hour.

This is cool. I want to see this next time I come to Vegas. Even if you´ve never been to Vegas, we have all seen them in the movies.
Thanks for sharing Nic. :)
